The fair changes week

Sweden: The trade fair organizer Elmia AB announces that this year's subcontractor trade fair in Jönköping, will be moved forward by one week. The number of trade fair days will be reduced from four to three.

Oxeon finalist at JEC

Sweden: JEC World in Paris has named Oxeon as one of the finalists in its annual innovation competition. The project concerns an extremely light and strong field hockey club for Adidas.

Atos Medical is sold

Denmark: Coloplast A/S has acquired the Swedish company Atos Medical. The purchase price is stated to be approx. DKK 16 billion (EUR 2.15 billion).

Diab among the elected

Sweden: JEC World has presented the finalists in this year's innovation competition. Diab is one of those and has developed a recyclable sandwich panel in 100 % thermoplastics skin and a Divinycell TP foam core.

3d-print new area for SP Group

Denmark: SP Group has acquired Davinci 3D. The price is stated to be DKK 43 million (EUR 5.78 million). The acquisition of a company specializing in additive manufacturing is the first of its kind for the Group.

New partner for Lanxess

Sweden: Mape Plastics has initiated a distribution collaboration with Lanxess HPM for the Nordic market. The sales collaboration applies to Lanxess PA 6 and PA 66 (Durethane) as well as PBT and PBT blends (Pocan).

Production move

Norway: Dutch Wavin, one of the world's largest plastic pipe manufacturers in water and plumbing, moves all production of cable pipes from Norway to the significantly more modern factory in Sweden.

Lego A/S is expanding

Denmark: In 2023 Lego Group will start the expansion and upgrading of its global headquarters in Billund. Occupancy is expected by the end of 2025. The investment includes a Campus which will connect the existing Lego factory with a new building of 46,000 square meters.

He left Rosti for Emballator

Sweden: Per Petterson has, starting in mid-February 2022, taken over as CEO of Emballator Lagan. He most recently came from a position as CEO of Rosti GP AB in Gislaved.

Degradable fishing nets

Sweden: Gaia BioMaterials has together with a project partner received UK government funding for a development project of biodegradable fishing nets from its chalk-based biomaterial Biodolomer.

New CEO at Herenco

Sweden: Herenco Group has recruited a new President and CEO. Anders Davidsson, who most recently came from a role as CEO at Fristads Kansas Group, took office on March 1, 2022.
